You can configure SMTP log levels to determine the amount of information recorded in the SMTP log related to various SMTP activities.
You should only increase
log levels above the Info level temporarily, for diagnostic purposes.
Increasing the log levels can result in significantly enlarged log files,
which can adversely affect disk space and performance. On
a day-to-day basis you can use the Message
Tracking facility to identify
the whereabouts of messages |
Set a level for each of the indicated SMTP activities:
The higher the log level, from Error (low) to Debug (high), the more detail is logged. Each level adds detail while continuing to log the information of the lower levels. |
