Enabling SMTP hostname override
You can specify whether the SMTP command includes a defined hostname when connecting with another mail server (the hostname appears in the HELO/EHLO command). This will enable you to avoid revealing details of your internal mail network when making connections to third parties.
To specify SMTP hostname override
- From the System Center Home page, click SMTP Settings. The SMTP Settings page appears.
- Click Advanced Settings to display the Advanced Settings page.
- Move the mouse pointer over the Enable SMTP hostname override area and click Click here to change these settings.
- Edit the required settings:
- Select the Override the default SMTP hostname check box.
- Enter a new fully-qualified Hostname.
- Click Save.
This setting will not be deployed to peers. |
