You can specify the length of
time the Clearswift Gateway waits for various actions to occur and the maximum number
of connections.
To specify connections:
From
the System Center Home page,
click Mail Settings. The Mail Settings
page appears.
Click Advanced
Settings to display the Advanced Settings page. The connections
area lists the maximum number of outbound connections.
Move the mouse pointer
over the Connections area and click Click here to change these settings.
Edit the required number
of connections and enter a value between 0 and 500.
Click Save.
To specify timeouts:
From
the System Center Home page,
click Mail Settings. The Mail Settings
page appears.
Click Advanced
Settings to display the Advanced Settings page. The Timeouts area
lists the current settings for each timeout.
Move the mouse pointer
over the Timeouts area and click Click here to change these settings.
Edit the required timeouts.
Seconds to wait for
establishing a delivery connection, that is, a response to a connection
attempt for sending outbound messages. The default setting of 0 specifies
that the timeout defaults to the system value set for connection attempts.
Typically, this is 60 seconds. You can enter a smaller value to reduce
this default.
Hours
to wait before non-delivering
a message on the Ready for Delivery queue.
Non-delivering a message means sending the sender a Non-Delivery message.
Hours to wait before
discarding non-delivery messages that the system cannot deliver.
Edit the remaining setting
to configure how the system handles messages where delivery has been deferred.
Click Save.
If you change any configuration settings you must apply the new configuration for the
new settings to take effect.
