Discard Pending Configuration

If you make changes in the Policy Center, or to the System Settings, SMTP Settings or PMM Settings within the System Center, you must apply the changed configuration to the Clearswift Gateway to make the changes take effect. You can now discard pending configuration changes, effectively reverting to the previously deployed configuration without re-applying that configuration.

To discard the pending configuration

  1. If the page you are currently viewing has a Changes Made task panel, click Discard Configuration.

    The Confirm Discard Configuration dialog is displayed.

  1. Click Yes to confirm that you to discard the configuration changes.

     

    This operation cannot be undone.

  1. Click Close to return to the Home page.

    The configuration will be returned to the last successful deployment.

 

This operation will affect all logged in Administrators that are modifying configuration. Other users, also logged on to the Clearswift Gateway but from a different client, would also lose any changes they have made but not yet applied.

Configuration Discards will be recorded in the User Interface Service Access Log.

Discard configuration will not change the current deployed configuration; the UI will be refreshed to match the current configuration.
