Internet Zones

An Internet Zone is a grouping of URLs. Internet Zones are used as 'endpoints' in policy routes. For example, you could prevent all users in your network from accessing gambling sites by creating a policy route between Everyone and an internet zone containing the category Gambling Sites.

You can add categories of websites to an Internet Zone, or individual site addresses.

• URL categories

  URL categories specify specific types of website. A category contains a dynamically updated list of URLs which have been identified by Clearswift as members of that category. URL categories are automatically updated on a regular basis. See Supplied Clearswift URL Categories for more information.

• Adding sites to an Internet Zone

  You can apply individual URLs to an Internet Zone. For example, you might want to include a website that has not been categorized. You can also import a list of URLs to a zone. See Working with Internet Zones for more information.
