Configuring Greylist Settings

Greylisting enables you to temporarily reject messages from unrecognized senders, only accepting them if they are resent within a specified time period. See About Greylisting for more information.

To enable or disable greylisting:

  1. On the Policy Center Home page, click SpamLogic Settings. The SpamLogic Settings page appears, displaying the Spam Policy tab.
  2. Move the pointer over the Spam Policy section, and click Click here to change these settings.
  3. In the Greylisting box, select one of:

  • Greylisting can only be used as an anti-spam defense if the Gateway is connected directly to the Internet enabling communication with unrecognized senders.
  • To avoid messages from trusted sources being greylisted, add them to a White List.
  • Only senders with Suspicious or Bad TRUSTmanager reputations can be greylisted.
  • When you have finished modifying your content security policy you must apply the configuration for any changes to take effect. If the Gateways are configured as a group, any group changes should be applied to each Gateway.
