Managing HTTP Proxy Settings

The Clearswift Gateway might need to use an HTTP Proxy to communicate with the Clearswift Update Server. The HTTP Proxy Settings page displays the configuration of the server.

Configure your HTTP Proxy using the Server Console. For more information on accessing the Server Console, and on more network settings, see Network Configuration.

You must configure the proxy settings on the console of each Gateway in your peer group.

To specify HTTP Proxy Settings

  1. Configure SSH Access to access the Server Console.
  2. Select Configure System > Configure External Servers > Proxy Server.
  3. Enter your proxy server using the following format:

    http(s)://[domain\][user][:pass][@]host[:port]

Depending on the configuration of your proxy server, include the user (username) and pass (password) credentials required.

  4. Press OK. The Console tests the connection to the proxy server and displays the status.
  5. Press Done and then Apply the configuration. You must apply the configuration for the changes to be recognised.

If using an HTTP proxy to connect to the Kaspersky Updates server, the password must not contain the '@' character.

If you are using Kaspersky Security Network (KSN), you must add the ksn*.kaspersky-labs.com site to the list of trusted/bypass URLs for any proxy servers between your Gateway(s) and the Internet to allow for KSN queries.
