Specify PMM Mode

You can set the operating mode for the Personal Message Management (PMM) system. The following operating modes are available:

• Off - The PMM system including the portal is currently disabled. The system will not generate digests or provide the PMM portal for your users to manage their trusted senders.
• Digest only - In Digest Only mode the PMM system will generate digests for your users to release and delete messages, but they will not be able to manage their trusted senders.
• Lite - In Lite mode, your users will not be able to see a real-time list of their held messages or view other mailboxes. The PMM system will generate digests for your users to release and delete messages and they will be able to manage their trusted senders.
• Full - In Full mode, your users will be able to see a real-time list of their held messages, view other mailboxes and manage their trusted senders.

To change the PMM Mode:

1. From the System Center Home page, click PMM Settings.
2. Click PMM Mode to display the PMM Mode page. This page displays the currently selected PMM Mode and displays the Features Enabled with a green tick.
3. Move the mouse pointer over the PMM Mode area and click Click here to change these settings .
4. Select the radio button corresponding to the required mode:
• Off
• Digest only
• Lite
• Full
5. Click Save. The selected mode is displayed with a list of the features enabled and configuration advice.

You must have a license to use PMM in Full mode. If you do not have a license, PMM can still be used in Digest only or Lite mode.
