SSH Access

You can enable or disable network access to your Clearswift Gateway using SSH (Secure Shell). If you enable SSH access, you must specify the IP addresses of machines that are allowed to access the Gateway using SSH.

You should only enable SSH access when directed by your support provider.

Enabling SSH access exposes protocols not typically required for day-to-day operation. To reduce the associated potential security risk, we advise that you do not leave SSH access enabled for long periods of time.

To configure SSH access

  1. From the System Center Home page, click System Settings. The System Settings page appears.
  2. Click SSH Access to display the SSH Access page.
  3. Move the mouse pointer over the Settings area and click Click here to change these settings.
  4. Enable or disable SSH access:
  1. Click Save.
  2. Apply the new configuration.
