Import and export signing certificates

The Certificate Authorities store is supplied with a range of signing certificates for commercial CAs world-wide. However, you may need to import or export a signing certificate if, for example, a partner is using a private CA.

How do I...

• Import a certificate

  Signing certificates must be in PEM (Privacy-Enhanced Mail) format.

  1. Obtain the CA signing certificate from the partner.
  2. Put the signing certificate file in a folder that you can access from the Email Gateway web interface.
  3. Navigate to System > Encryption and click Certificate Store.

  4. Click the Certificate Authorities tab.

     The Certificate Authorities certificate store is displayed.

  5. On the toolbar, click Import.

  6. In the Upload Certificate or Key dialog box, follow the instructions on screen, and then click Import.

     If the import is successful, the certificate appears in the list of certificates in the information panel.

  7. Apply the configuration.
• Export a certificate

  1. Navigate to System > Encryption and click Certificate Store.

  2. Click the Certificate Authorities tab.

     The Certificate Authorities certificate store is displayed.

  3. In the list of certificates in the information panel, click a certificate.

  4. On the toolbar, click Export.

  5. Follow the instructions on screen.
