Specifying the Download/Upload Size Restriction
The Download/Upload size restriction can be configured from 1 MB to 2 GB. The default value is 500 MB for new installations and 2 GB for existing users.
File transfers above 500 MB for a new installation or 2 GB for upgrading customers will be blocked. The 2 GB limit can be overridden for specific users and routes:
- To override the Global Download/Upload Size Restriction and allow access to file transfers above 2 GB without scanning the content, use the 'Size Bypass' content rule.
- To override the Global Download Size Restriction within the 2 GB limit and scan the content, use the existing 'Download Size Restriction' content rule. You can reduce the global setting or increase the global setting where the global setting is below 2 GB.
|
The Global Download/Upload Size Restriction rule only applies to policy routes containing content rules. If a web policy route does not contain any content rules, the global size restriction will not apply. |
