'Data Transfer Restriction' Clause

The "Data Transfer Restriction" clause in a content rule allows access to file transfers above 2 GB without scanning the content by specifying the minimum size threshold.

Data Transfer Restriction clauses are present in content rules created from a Size Bypass content rule template.

To define a 'Data Transfer Restriction' clause in a content rule:

  1. Move the mouse pointer over the "Data Transfer Restriction" clause in the "What To Look For?" area of the content rule and click Click here to change these settings.
  2. Enter a size threshold in megabytes. The default is 2040 MB.
  3. Click Save to record your changes.

  • The clauses contained in a content rule depend on the template used to create the rule.
  • You cannot add or delete "What To Look For?" clauses. To use different "What To Look For?" clauses, create another content rule using a suitable template.
