Block Applications

You can block Applications on a particular Facebook or LinkedIn policy route, if required.

  A different block page is automatically generated for each type of social media policy route added to the Gateway. For example, if you create a Facebook route, a Facebook block page is also created. You cannot delete these block pages if a related policy route exists on your Gateway.

To enable or disable Applications:

  1. Click Policy > Mail Policy Routes (Email) or Web Policy Routes (Web).
  2. Select a Facebook or LinkedIn policy route.
  3. Click Edit. The Modify Policy Route page is displayed.
  4. Select the Applications content rule you require:

  5. Click Edit.
  6. Select Block Facebook Applications or Block LinkedIn Applications to disable the use of applications. Clear the selection to enable.

  7. Click Update.
  8. Apply the configuration.
