The Service Control Page

The Service Control page lists the status of each Gateway and enables you to stop or restart those services that are under manual control.

To view the page, from the Gateway home page click the System tab > Service Control.

The Service Control page lists the following services with its current status:

Service	Description
Authentication	Manages the user authentication system.
Health and Statistics	Gathers information on system health for display on the page and other pages of the Clearswift Gateway Web Interface.
Infrastructure	Manages Alarms and Housekeeping tasks.
Kaspersky Virus Scanner	Manages the Kaspersky virus scanning process.
Service Watchdog	Collects status information on the Clearswift Gateway services.
SMTP Alert Transport	Manages the delivery of SMTP Alerts.
Sophos Virus Scanner	Manages the Sophos virus scanning process.
SQL Database	Manages the SQL database tasks.
System Logging	Manages the system logs recorded by the Gateway.
User Interface	Manages the display of the Clearswift Gateway Web Interface.
Web Audit	Manages the auditing system.
Web Proxy	Manages the Web Proxy server.

NOTE: Grayed icons such as in the Service column indicate services you cannot manually control.
