Adding a Cache Bypass
If there are particular web requests that should not be stored or served from cache and can be identified by HTTP header
or URL, these can be excluded by creating cache
bypasses.
To add a HTTP Header bypass:
- From
the System Center Home page, click
Proxy Settings. The Proxy Settings
page appears.
- On the Proxy Settings page,
click Cache to display
the Cache page.
- Click the Header
Bypass tab. The Header Bypass page displays a list of the HTTP header
bypasses you have already established.
- Click
New.
The Add HTTP Header Bypass dialog appears.
- In the Header
field, type the HTTP header of the site you want to bypass.
- In the
Value field, type a matching header
value. You can enter a sub-string of the full header value, if required. The header value is not case sensitive.
- Click Add
to save changes.
- To edit or remove a header bypass:
- Select the header bypass to edit.
- Select
Edit
or
Delete, as required.
To add a Bypass by URL:
- From
the System Center Home page, click
Proxy Settings. The Proxy Settings
page appears.
- On the Proxy Settings page,
click Cache to display
the Cache page.
- Click the URL
Bypass tab. The URL Bypass page displays a list of the URL
bypasses you have already established.
- Click
New.
The Add URL dialog appears.
- In the
URL field, type the URL of the site
you want to bypass. You can use
wildcard
characters
in the URL.Wildcard characters
Use *
to represent 0 or more characters.
- Click Add
to save changes.
- To edit or remove a URL bypass:
- Select the URL bypass to edit.
- Select
Edit
or
Delete, as required.
