You can configure log levels to determine the amount of information recorded in the Mail Alert Transport log related to various activities.
You should only increase log levels above the Info level temporarily, for diagnostic purposes. Increasing the log levels can result in significantly enlarged log files, which can adversely affect disk space and performance. |
The higher the log level, from Error (low) to Debug (high), the more detail is logged. Each level adds detail while continuing to log the information of the lower levels. |
Log Level | Mail Out | Plug-in |
---|---|---|
Error | Mail processing errors Example: failure to load files or set variables | Mail filter Errors Example: failure to load files or set variables |
Warning | Mail processing warnings Example: malformed requests | Mail filter warnings Example: soft verification failures |
Info | Mail processing warnings Example: malformed requests | Low detail mail filter processing information Example: rejection reasons |
Debug | General Mail processing information Example: message rejected/delivered | Moderate detail mail filter processing information Example: spam score results |
If you change any configuration settings you must apply the new configuration for the new settings to take effect. |
