Alert Settings
If you configure the Policy Engine Alert
Settings, Clearswift Gateway sends an email alert message to the specified
recipient when it performs the Generate an Alert action in a content rule.
You can set parameters that determine
the sender, recipient, and subject of the email alert message.
To configure Alert Settings:
- From
the System Center Home page, click
System Settings. The System Settings
page appears.
- Click Policy
Engine Settings to display the Policy Engine Settings page.
- Move the mouse pointer
over the Alert Settings area and
click .

Specify the sender, recipient
and subject line for email alert messages. Note that you may only specify
one recipient.
What tokens can I use here?
%ADMIN% |
The administrator
account email address used by the Policy Engine.

%AREANAME% |
The name of the message area containing the message.
|
%DATE% |
The date the original message was sent.
|
%DETECTED% |
Items detected by the What To Look For?
clauses in invoked content rules.
|
%LOCALDATE% |
The date the original message was sent, shown in the Gateway's local timezone.
|
%POLICY% |
A list of the content rules invoked on the message.
|
%PRIMARYTHREATS% |
The threat type and name detected in a message. The
values are separated by a colon, for example, VIRUS:EICAR.

%RCPTS% |
A list of the recipients. (This is a concatenated list
of all the "Recipient" responses.)

%SENDER% |
The email address of the sender of the original message.
|
%SERVER% |
The Clearswift Gatewayserver email address.
|
%SUBJECT% |
The subject of the original message.

%UNIQUEID% |
The Mail ID: the unique ID Clearswift Gateway assigns to a
message.

- Click Save.

If you change any configuration settings you must apply the new configuration for the
new settings to take effect. If the Gateways are configured as a group, any group
changes should be applied to each Gateway. |
