Policy Bypass
You can create policy bypasses that enable the Clearswift Gateway policy engine to ignore specified sites on your policy routes.
To add a policy bypass:
- From the Policy Center Home page, click Web Policy Routes. The Manage Policy Routes page appears.
- Click the Policy Bypass tab. The Policy Bypass page displays a list of the policy bypasses you have already established.
- Click
New. The Add HTTP Header Bypass dialog appears.
- In the Header field, type the HTTP header of the site you want to bypass. The Header field is not case-sensitive.
- In the
Value field, type a matching header
value. You can construct matching header values using a
wildcard character. For example, to bypass ExampleHeader as the User-Agent header, the string could be 'Example*'. The Value field is not case-sensitive.
- Select the Direction in which the communication must be traveling to be bypassed:
- Request or response.
- Request only.
- Response only.
- Response if in request.
- Both if in request.
- Click Add to save changes.
- Apply the configuration.
