References to Email policy content are only available when an Email Gateway is included in the peer group.
An Address List(email) or User Name List (web) is a
group of user names or email addresses to whom
you want to apply a common policy. These groups could represent
common users within your organization. For example:
Functional groupings,
such as a Sales Team or a regional office.
Address Lists are used by the Email Gateway as the 'endpoints' of policy routes. For example, a Mail Policy Route might be defined between Managers and Sales Team. The SpamLogic
Address Validation settings also use Address Lists.
User Name Lists are used by the Gateway as the 'endpoint' of a web policy route between your organization and an Internet Zone. For example, a Web Policy Route might be defined between Managers and Inappropriate Sites.
The entries in a Static List are defined and maintained by a local administrator.
You can import lists of users and addresses into a Static Address List or User Name List
from a text file.
LDAP Synchronized Address/User Name List
An LDAP Synchronized List is synchronized with an LDAP server containing your user information. The LDAP Address List or User Name List is refreshed automatically by the Gateway once every twenty four hours.
