Using Multiple Disposal Actions

References to Web policy content are only available when a Web Gateway is included in the peer group.

You can apply up to two disposal actions to a content rule. The main reason why you would apply two disposal actions to a policy rule is to save copies of messages. See Saving Copies of Messages for more information.

When applying two disposal actions to a content rule, you cannot use disposal actions that could potentially quarantine a message twice.

You can use only the following disposal action combinations.

The Hold disposal action can be used with:

Relay to
Deliver

The Non-deliver disposal action cannot be used with other disposal actions.

The Drop disposal action cannot be used with other disposal actions.

The Relay to disposal action can be used with:

Hold
Relay to
Deliver

The Deliver disposal action can be used with:

Hold
Relay to

The Perform no action disposal action cannot be used with other disposal actions.
