Reboot and Shutdown

You can power off or reboot your Clearswift Gateway from the System Center.

 

You need to be logged on using the default administrator account to use this function.

If you are unable to access the Clearswift Gateway Web Interface you can reboot or power off from Red Hat Cockpit.

Rebooting the Clearswift Gateway

  1. Display the System Center Home page.
  2. Click Service Control. The Service Control page appears, listing the status of the Clearswift Gateway services.
  3. Click Reboot the Gateway in the task panel.
  4. Click Reboot on the Confirm Reboot dialog.

You will lose connection to the Clearswift Gateway when it reboots. Wait a minute or two before attempting to log in again.

Shutdown the Gateway

  If you power off your Clearswift Gateway , you will need physical access to the Gateway to restart it.
  1. Display the System Center Home page.
  2. Click Service Control. The Service Control page appears, listing the status of the Clearswift Gateway services.
  3. Click Shutdown the Gateway on the task panel.
  4. Click Shutdown on the Confirm Shutdown dialog.

You will lose connection to the Gateway when it shuts down.

  To power on a Gateway that is currently switched off, press the power switch on the front of the Clearswift Gateway system. For the location of Gateway switches and sockets, consult the documentation included in the Clearswift Gateway packaging.
