You can route email destined for particular email domains either to a specific mail server, or by using DNS MX records. This mechanism allows you to specify where to direct:
You can use a wildcard * when
specifying a domain name, for example to specify a mail server for external
delivery if you are not using DNS. See these example
uses of wildcards.
In the Add Email Route dialog, enter the following information:
In Route, select either Using DNS or To a server.
If you specified
To a server above, specify the server's fully qualified host name or
IP address, and the port number to use. If you want to provide a failover configuration, you can specify a fully qualified host name that resolves to multiple DNS A records, or you can enter the VIP if you use a load balancer.
If you have multiple routes to the same server, you must ensure that the same connection profile is selected in order for TLS to be applied. You must also ensure that the AUTH configuration is the same for all routes to the same server when using an IP address for routing. |
It is highly recommended that you enable TLS on authenticated SMTP connections.
