Configuring Upstream Proxy Access
You can configure the access details
for an upstream proxy server used to connect to the internet. See About
Using an Upstream Proxy for more information.
To
configure upstream proxy access:
- From
the System Center Home page, click
Proxy Settings. The Proxy Settings
page appears.
- Click Upstream
Proxy Settings to display the Upstream Proxy Settings page. The
Upstream Proxy Enabled/Disabled area displays the current status of the
upstream proxy, that is whether or not it is enabled.
- Click the General
tab, and move the mouse pointer over the Upstream Proxy area and click
.
- In the Server field, enter
the address of the upstream proxy.
- In the Port field, enter
the port that the upstream proxy uses.
- Click Save.
- Move the mouse pointer
over the Upstream Authentication area and click .
- Select one of the following:
- Do not authenticate to the upstream proxy
- Use pass through authentication
- Authenticate
using the following username and password
- If you
select Authenticate using the following
username and password:
- In the User name field, enter the
user name to authenticate when logging on to the upstream proxy server.
- In the Password field, enter the authentication
password, and enter it again in the Confirm field.
- Click
Save.
