Transfers report
The Transfers dashboard displays the document transfers recorded by the Information Governance Server in a given date-range. It lists transfers, the Gateways that handled the traffic, and graphical information about the Protocol type of traffic (email, web), the Direction (inbound, outbound), and the Action taken (Allowed, Blocked). Compliance Officers can select any individual transfer record and drill-down to display more information in the Details deck.
Gateway traffic
You can modify the results displayed in multiple ways, including filtering:
- Source. Use the check boxes to select email or web Gateways that handled traffic.
- Action. Click to display the results in order of the actions applied (for example, Allowed, Blocked)
- Direction. Click to display the results in Inbound, Outbound order.
- Number Transfers. This displays the number of transfers handled by each Source Gateway. Click the heading to re-order the results.

Change date range. Use the date range to select the time period for your report.
You canselect a date range from:
- Past Day (the last 24 hours)
- Past Week (the last 7 days)
- Past Month (one month before today's calendar date)
- Past Year (one year before today's calendar date)
- All (all available data)
- Custom Range (enter a Start Date and End Date)
You can also click the chart elements to filter your results, or apply specific filters using the Filter button ![]() |
Details deck
Users with the Compliance Officer role can drill down into the details by clicking an entry or any element of the displayed charts. The Details deck displays the selected green transfer cards for your data, showing:
- From (sender)
- To (recipient)
- Day (date of transfer)
- Direction (inbound, outbound)
- Action (allowed, blocked)
